Words to Live By

I've joined an online class (kind of late, but better than never, right?) and the theme is "Words to Live By".  A new word is given to me each day by a different scrapbook artist.  Tomorrow is the official last day and I still have 9 words to finish!  I plan to put these into a 6x6 album, so I've planned for opposing pages to be similar to one another.  I decided to use scripture verses as my "journaling". Here are the first two.

Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32

WONDER

Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds they would be too many to declare. Psalm 40:5

I used alcohol inks on acetate, then layered on Polar Ice Bazzill cardstock as well as lily bee design "This & That" paper and stickers. I also used stamps and inked the edges of the cardstock.

As I complete the other pages, I'll post them as well.

All Things Are Possible

All things are possible, including being made into a new creation day after day. That's what this page is all about.  I love everything about this page, particularly the colors.  I tried a new thing on this page....I used a glue pad to stamp the flowers and the title, and then used Flocking.  Flocking is fuzzy when dry and I love it!

I made the butterfly by making a collage of various papers (all from the same collection), and added orange gemstones for more definition.

It's fun to reflect on being made a new creation by creating something new!

Ephesians 3:17-19

I found an old calendar from 1994, the year Jody and I started dating.  It was interesting to see some notes I had written in the calendar.  But, I was really drawing to the colors and the verse of this page, so I trimmed it down and decided to scrap it. The verse talks about how great God's love is for us and how we can never fully understand the depth of it.

I really like the journaling "folder" I made.

The black flower is made of a bunch of petals I picked up at an art swap (take stuff you don't use any more and pick up anything you might use...awesome!).

Hope you enjoy this page as much as I do!

Punch Organization

A couple of weeks ago, I bought this over the door shoe holder and turned it into a place to store my growing collection of punches.  This makes it so much easier to see what punches and I have and gets rid of a couple of very full, unorganized boxes on my shelf!

I punched out the shapes and made "labels" for the individual pouches so I can easily find the punch I am looking for.

I love organization!
